Trump May Close Cuba

Trump is expected to "rollback parts of the historic Obama-era opening with Cuba" that has allowed a recent boom in tourism. His announcement is expected to take place on Friday in Miami and should provide some more information on how and when these "rollbacks" will take place.

As stated by the BBC, "The potential effects of such a move on Cuba's tourism industry would be significant. However the pro-engagement lobby group Engage Cuba argues that it would have a multi-billion dollar impact on the US economy too, affecting jobs in the airline and cruise ship industries."

I'm certain everyone who has a trip scheduled to Cuba in the near future (which includes me!) is sitting on the edge of their seat nervously, awaiting the exact nature of the planned announcement. I can say I'm currently shopping for some comprehensive trip insurance, just in case!
